Role of the Sales Manager
The Sales Manager will manage direct sales of map-based software solutions in key industries in the public and private sectors.
As Sales Manager, you will prepare sales-pipeline and execute sales-strategy to meet revenue targets and sign up new customers. You will be in charge of the entire process from identifying targets, driving outreach, scoping projects in collaboration with product/engineering teams and negotiating deal terms.
In this role, you will work directly with the company’s management team and product/project managers. You need to be able to translate customer expectations into software product features and help develop custom solutions meeting the needs of our partners.
What We Expect
We like people who are driven, hardworking, diligent and reliable in their day-to-day partner interactions. Persistence, motivation, and speed of execution are all key to succeed in this role. Regarding your background, ideally, you have minimum BSc in Engineering or Business, have relevant business experience of 4-5 years in the IT/software sales with proven track record of meeting sales goals. You are fluent in English (any other language is a plus) and can operate confidently with senior people in a B2B environment. Flexibility with travel is necessary (often in-country, sometimes international).
Selling innovative software solutions requires a consultative approach. We expect you to represent the company’s solutions in a convincing way. You must be technically savvy and able to grasp the idea of how digital map technologies can solve real-world problems. While delivering our story to the outside world is critically important, our new colleague will also actively listen to be able to influence senior executives and bring back market insights to the product management team.
